hi, i’m hannah perron

I’m a writer, photographer, and music curator based in Chicago.

Perron Talent Studio grew out of a simple belief: some of the most interesting people in music aren't always the loudest or the most visible. They're the ones steadily building something meaningful—making records, opening studios, running venues, producing artists, curating spaces, and strengthening the communities around them.

I’m drawn to those people.

Before starting Perron Talent Studio, I spent more than a decade working in talent acquisition, helping companies identify exceptional people and understand what makes them successful. Over time, I realized that the same curiosity that made me love recruiting was also drawing me toward music people. I wanted to spend more time discovering artists, asking thoughtful questions, and documenting the people whose work often happens behind the scenes.

Today, Perron Talent Studio exists at the intersection of editorial storytelling, photography, and music curation.

Through long-form interviews and documentary-style photography, I tell the stories of artists and builders shaping Chicago's music community. Through music programming, I help brands and spaces create experiences that feel intentional, memorable, and deeply connected to the people they're trying to reach.

Whether I'm interviewing a producer in their studio, photographing a musician at work, or building a playlist for a neighborhood café, the goal is the same: to create meaningful connections through music.

Because good music deserves to be heard—and the people behind it deserve to be known.
